Fabulous holiday accommodation in the Hautes Pyrénées
Les Hauts Pâturages is a former Bishops Residence dating from 1731 and is nestled in the heart of a sleepy village on a no-through road in some 30 acres of land. Set on the crest of a Pyrenean foothill with views all around – it has valleys on three sides and the Montaigu mountain range to the south. A perfect holiday home in the Hautes Pyrénées.
Quintessentially French, with character features throughout, each of our two properties has its own private outdoor dining terrace with barbecue and guests have access to the 10m x 5m heated swimming pool which benefits from both full safety measures and surrounding sun terraces with panoramic views over the snow-capped Pyrenees, the valleys and woods, part of which belong to the property and provide a ready supply of firewood for the log burning stoves.
Free WiFi is available throughout the property.
La Bigourdane which can sleep 10 people and La Ferme which sleeps 5 can easily become one property which is perfect for large gatherings and family groups sleep 15 plus babies. For events we can also provide accommodation in our village allowing for larger groups to stay.
There is a separate drive behind the main house for guests to park their cars once they have unloaded their luggage. This ensures that children can play and explore in safety. The land stretches away below the pool and has been planted with superb walnut trees and chestnut trees.
Our guests are welcome to discover our heavenly paradise and spend time exploring the many paths which lead down to the stream at the bottom of the valley. Many of our guests enjoy bird watching, painting or simply unwinding from the stresses of everyday life.
For the children and the young-at-heart we provide a selection of bikes for all ages, football nets, badminton nets and rackets, a woodland adventure area and table tennis. There are lots of lovely walks without having to start up your car.
